Green Room User Guide


The location of items may vary from room to room, please take a moment to orientate yourself before starting.

  • Green Rooms have standard display screens. 
  • Users need to use the connections in the room to connect their device to the display screen. 
  • Recording your session with MS Teams or Panopto without plugging in the connections will result in the room room display not being recorded.


Turning the system on

Use the Control Panel to turn the system on. 

Tap the display or select the ON button. It may take a moment to load.

If the touch panel is blank, touch anywhere to activate it.


If your room has a projector check that it is turned ON at the wall. 


Remember to turn OFF the Control Panel when leaving the room.


Connecting your university device

To connect your device to the display use the appropriate cable from those supplied, typically an HDMI or supplied adaptor.

Connecting your own device will provide access to the display screen and your devices camera and microphone.

Display settings

The shortcut Windows Key + P will give you the option to choose a presentation display mode.

This shortcut can resolve ‘blue screen’ issues on start-up.

Using Apps (Teams, Panopto etc.)

You may need to check the setting menu to ensure you are using the correct settings on your device.

Audio settings can be checked in the bottom right of the screen and resembles a speaker.

To test App connection are working correctly use the Panopto Self View and Teams Test Call feature.

Use the screen capture preview in Panopto to see what will be recorded


Turn off the display screen before leaving the room.
