VPN Global Protect
When working from home VPN is required for RGU laptops to function normally, access network drives and resources, the VPN we use is called Global Protect. VPN is not required while on campus or outside the UK and will not connect by design.
To check your VPN settings when working off campus and ensure that Global Protect VPN is connected, click the icon tray in the bottom right, global protect is a globe icon and should be in colour with a shield tick, if it's greyed out, click on it to connect back to VPN
If VPN is not connecting there is most likely a problem with the device or network, you should try restarting and running any updates and check Wifi settings. If it's still not connecting you should raise a ticket with the
IT Helpdesk Portal so your device can be checked further.
