How to move files between Team Sites

This article goes through the steps of moving files and folders between two different teams sites.
How to move files between teams sites
Go to the teams site that holds the files/folders that you want to move and select them using the small circle to the left.

Then on the top banner you should see a number of options to choose from (New, Open, Share etc.) , look for the highlighted option of "Move to" and select it.
Note : If only moving a single item, the "Move to" option may be under the ellipse menu at the end.

In the new pop up window, find the team you want to move the files to and select it. Then drop down the menu "In Channels" and decide which Channel you'd like to move them to under that team.
Note : The "General" folder, would be the generic home/starting space. If you're team has additional channels they will display here.

Once you have the preferred location select the "Move here" button and the files/folders will be moved shortly.

Things to Note :
- If you don't select a specific channel in the moving process it will upload to the documents folder in the teams site. If this happens, go to the site you moved the files to and click on the "Documents" section at the top of the page, this will load the top level folder. This is a good place to check if you move files/folders and can't seem to find them after the move :

- There is also a "Copy to" function that behaves the same, keeping the files in the original location and making a copy available to the new location
